First Time at Wall Stadium? Here Is What You Need to Know

April 10, 2026 By Ryan Fisher

So you are coming to Wall Stadium for the first time. Good call. Whether someone dragged you along or you have been meaning to check it out for years, here is everything you need to know to have a great night.

Getting There

Wall Stadium Speedway is at 1803 Route 34 South in Wall Township, New Jersey. If you are coming from the north, take the Garden State Parkway south to Exit 98. From the south, Parkway north to Exit 98. Follow Route 34 south and the track is on the right. You cannot miss it.

The track is about 45 minutes south of New York City and 10 minutes from the Jersey Shore beaches. Some people make a full day out of it: beach in the afternoon, racing at night.

Timing

Here is the typical Saturday night timeline:

  • 4:00 PM - Parking lots open
  • 5:00 PM - Gates open
  • 5:30 PM - Driver introductions
  • 6:00 PM - Green flag, racing begins
  • 10:00 PM - Estimated end

Get there when gates open if you want to grab a good seat. The grandstands are general admission, first come first served. The closer you sit to turns one and two, the more intense the experience.

Tickets

  • General Admission (Adult): $20
  • Kids 6-12: $5
  • Under 5: Free
  • Pit Pass: $35 (includes general admission)

The pit pass is the move if you want the full experience. It gets you into the pit area where you can walk through the garage, see the cars up close, and talk to the crews. Before the races start, most drivers are happy to say hello and sign something for the kids.

Tickets are available at the gate. No need to buy online in advance for regular Saturday night events, but special events like the Turkey Derby can sell out.

What to Bring

  • Lawn chairs are allowed in designated areas
  • Small coolers and sealed water bottles are generally permitted
  • Outside alcohol is not allowed
  • No glass containers

The track has full concessions: hot dogs, burgers, fries, nachos, soft drinks, and more. Cash and cards accepted.

What to Expect

If you have never been to a short-track race, it is nothing like watching racing on TV. The cars are right there. You can feel the engines. You can smell the brakes. When two cars make contact coming off turn four, you hear the sheet metal crunch.

Wall Stadium runs five divisions on a typical Saturday night. The Modifieds are the headliner. These are the fastest, most powerful cars at the track. But do not sleep on the Sportsman, Factory Stocks, Legend Cars, and Bandoleros. Some of the best racing happens in the lower divisions where the cars are closer in speed and the drivers are hungrier.

Expect about four hours of racing. There are breaks between divisions to grab food, use the restroom, or walk around. It is not four straight hours of sitting.

Rain Policy

If the weather looks questionable, check Wall Stadium’s social media before you head out. Events may be delayed or postponed. If racing gets called after it starts, rain check policies vary by event. The track posts real-time updates on their social channels.

For Families

Wall Stadium is a family track. Kids under 5 get in free. The atmosphere is welcoming. It is loud, so consider bringing ear protection for young children. Many families have been coming here for generations. Do not be surprised if the people sitting next to you have been in those same seats for 20 years.

The Bottom Line

There is nothing quite like a Saturday night at a short track. The sound, the speed, the community. Wall Stadium has been doing this since 1950, and under new ownership the experience is better than it has been in years.

Grab some tickets. Get there when gates open. Find a seat near the action. And when those Modifieds fire up for the feature race, you will understand why people keep coming back.
